Nests of tables
Nests of tables are multipurpose items which have innumerable uses. They may be utilised as side or end tables, as lamp tables, telephones tables, coffee tables
or as an occasional table. As they “nest” together and the smaller tables are placed comfortably beneath the larger ones; they can be stored away and so take up less space in the room.
They are ideal for dining rooms, lounges or living rooms, the drawing room or the family room.
Nests of tables can be manufactured in a multitude of modern materials but the majority still appear to be made of quality woods such as Oak, Cherry, Walnut, Pine, Elm and Ash. Many now have limed, distressed or painted effects.
Nest of tables and their uses
Nest of tables are often placed at the side of an armchair, sofa or settee. They can be used to display collections of photographs, ornaments, a vase of cut flowers, a dried flower arrangement, a houseplant or a lamp. They can also be utilised as an occasional table on which to place drink trays or wine glasses; or reading materials such as books, weekly magazines or glossy publications. They can also be used as a means of holding the house telephone, along with a pen and a notepad when speaking on the phone at home.
As there are usually two or three tables within the matching set, you can choose the right size for your needs. They can also be moved around the room at your convenience.
They can therefore be placed in the centre of a room and used as a temporary coffee table. This then becomes the site on which to place plates, mugs or glasses when eating a meal or a snack in front of the TV. They are also the ideal place to place a teapot and cups when serving afternoon tea.
